Svet je šíry. V tomto svete exituje aj človek menom Leonid Schneider. Leonid je „an independent science journalist, with around 13 years of biomedical research experience in molecular cell biology, stem cells and cancer research“.
Teda táto časť: Uyghur genetics: Yet another paper was retracted because it used human DNA from the oppressed Uyghur minority, which Chinese authorities obtained by force and coercion. This time, the lead authors are German professors, apparently utterly clueless what the Nuremberg Code of 1947 was about, especially its point 1:
“The voluntary consent of the human subject is absolutely essential.”
Prečo bola publikácia „stiahnutá“:
“The Editors-in-Chief have retracted this article because doubts arose as to the formal correctness of the informed consent procedures related to the research reported. Upon original submission, the authors had informed the journal that informed consent had been obtained from all study participants. For this the authors had relied upon the fact that all data used in the study had been previously used in other research articles. It has not been able to fully verify whether appropriate informed consent was obtained from all study participants in this article“.
Všimnite si tú „jemnôstku“: „It has not been able to fully verify whether appropriate informed consent was obtained from all study participants in this article“.
„The effectiveness of population-wide, rapid antigen test based screening in reducing SARS-CoV-2 infection prevalence in Slovakia“
V samotnej deklarácii („Author Declarations“) autori expesis verbis deklarujú, že
„I confirm all relevant ethical guidelines have been followed, and any necessary IRB and/or ethics committee approvals have been obtained.
Yes
Only publicly available data was used and therefore no exemption necessary.
All necessary patient/participant consent has been obtained and the appropriate institutional forms have been archived.
Yes
Tá posledná deklarácia „All necessary patient/participant consent has been obtained and the appropriate institutional forms have been archived. To vyvracia ďalšia časť („Author declarations“): „I understand that all clinical trials and any other prospective interventional studies must be registered with an ICMJE-approved registry, such as ClinicalTrials.gov. I confirm that any such study reported in the manuscript has been registered and the trial registration ID is provided.“
